Integration of Education, Technology and Entertainment Breaks New Ground in Children's Learning

Online Educational Game Succeeds Without Exposing Young People to Advertising, Promotions or Chat Rooms

By integrating educational content with technology, and entertainment, Wonder Rotunda creates a compelling new model for 21st century learning.  Kid’s interests are sparked—and their curiosity ignited.  In an avatar based virtual world, with games and activities, learning becomes fun and kids are motivated.

Refreshingly, Wonder Rotunda is an online educational game that engages kids without the lure of chat rooms or social networks.  There is no advertising on the site—and, no play scenarios or messaging tied to TV shows, movies or toys.

Among other educational topics, kids learn about climate change and globalization, dive the Great  Barrier Reef, journey by submarine through the human body, zip line through a tropical rainforest and explore how they can make a difference in the world.

Educational Games and Activities at Wonder Rotunda

There are 13 different "TV Game Shows" that kids can appear on before a "live audience" to answer questions about the information they have learned on the Park's adventures. There are more than 400 questions among the 13 games.

Kids also must find hidden gold coins in each of the adventures, and keep their avatars energized by making healthy eating choices at the Park's 12 food stands.

Kids earn Adventure Certificates, Guide Badges and Wonder Dollars. The Park's souvenir store, The House of Wonderful Stuff,  features the artifacts, animals, instruments, and other mementos from the Park's adventures. These "souvenirs" can be purchased using the Wonder Dollars that youngsters earn. Kids can also purchase postcards, which they can send via email from the Park to family or friends, and fly Blimps raising awareness of causes of interest to them.
